Getting There
A number of airlines fly to and from Kuala Lumpur, including Asia's airlines. Contact your travel agent for more information. AirAsia (60 3 7884-9000; www.airasia.com), Malaysia's low-cost airline, has direct flights from Bangkok, Singapore and Jakarta. Cathay Pacific (852 2747 1888; www.cathaypacific.com), Philippines Airlines (63 2 855 8888; www.pal.com.ph), Thai Airways (66 2 628 2000; www.thaiairways.com) and Singapore Airlines, (65 6223 8888; www.singaporeair.com) all offer direct flights daily.
Weather
The new year starts with an average temperature of 26oC and remains there through February. January has scattered rainfall, thanks to the northeast monsoon. The temperature rises to around 27oC in March, marking the arrival of warmer weather.
